IN THE MATTER OF a finding of material injury made by the Canadian Import Tribunal on July 3, 1987, in Inquiry No. CIT-2-87, respecting:

GASOLINE POWERED CHAIN SAWS ORIGINATING IN OR EXPORTED FROM THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY, SWEDEN AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

N O T I C E

On November 5, 1991, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal issued a Notice of Expiry (LE-91-006) relating to the aforementioned finding. Under the Special Import Measures Act, findings of material injury and the associated special protection in the form of anti-dumping or countervailing duties expire in five years from the date of the last order or finding unless a review is initiated.

Having received no representations in support of a review and continuation of the said finding, and being satisfied, at this time, that a review is not warranted, the Tribunal has decided not to initiate a review of the finding.

In these circumstances, the finding will, therefore, expire as of July 2, 1992, pursuant to subsection 76(5) of the Special Import Measures Act.

Secretary
