IN THE MATTER OF a complaint filed by IT/NET Consultants Inc. under subsection 30.11(1) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act, R.S.C. 1985 (4th Supp.), c. 47;
AND IN THE MATTER OF a decision made by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal on July 20, 1999, pursuant to section 30.16 of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act, awarding IT/NET Consultants Inc. its reasonable costs incurred in relation to filing and proceeding with its complaint.
O R D E R
In a determination made on July 20, 1999, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) awarded IT/NET Consultants Inc. (IT/NET), pursuant to subsection 30.16(1) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act, its reasonable costs incurred in relation to filing and proceeding with its complaint.
On August 19, 1999, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) wrote to the Tribunal stating its intention to implement fully the decision of the Tribunal. On the same date, IT/NET submitted to the Tribunal its claim for costs in the amount of $12,608.06 incurred in relation to filing and proceeding with its complaint. On September 10, 1999, CSC wrote the Tribunal stating that it had reviewed the claim made by IT/NET and concluded that the amount of $12,608.06 was reasonable.
The Tribunal carefully reviewed the claim and is also of the view that the costs claimed by IT/NET are reasonable in the circumstances. Therefore, the Tribunal hereby awards IT/NET costs in the amount of $12,608.06 incurred in relation to filing and proceeding with its complaint and directs CSC to take appropriate action to ensure prompt payment.
