IN THE MATTER OF a complaint filed by Steeple Incorporated pursuant to subsection 30.11(1) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act;

AND FURTHER TO the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s preliminary indication of the level of complexity for the complaint case and its preliminary indication of the amount of the cost award.

ORDER

In its determination of June 26, 2023, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, pursuant to section 30.16 of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act, awarded Steeple Incorporated (Steeple) its reasonable costs incurred in preparing and proceeding with the complaint.

The Tribunal’s preliminary indication of the level of complexity for the complaint case was Level 1, and its preliminary indication of the amount of the cost award was $1,150, payable by the Department of National Defence to Steeple.

Steeple (by correspondence dated June 27, 2023) and the Department of National Defence (by correspondence sent by counsel dated July 6, 2023) both agreed with the Tribunal’s proposed disposition of the issue of costs and its preliminary indication of the amount of the cost award.

The Tribunal confirms its preliminary indication by awarding Steeple its costs in the amount of $1,150 for this complaint and directs the Department of National Defence to take appropriate action to ensure prompt payment.
