NOTICE OF INQUIRY

SOFTWARE

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint from Maerix inc. (Maerix) of Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, concerning a procurement (solicitation T8080-220683-1) made by Transport Canada (TC). The solicitation was for the acquisition of software as a service to manage occupational health and safety programs for TC. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on August 28, 2023, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.

Maerix alleges various irregularities in the procurement process, including that the solicitation does not contain sufficient quantitative information to enable a bidder to know the level of requirements sought by the government institution.
