NOTICE OF INQUIRY

hotels and motels and inns

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint from Newland Canada Corporation (Newland) of Calgary, Alberta, concerning a procurement (solicitation WS4447121548) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence. The solicitation was for the provision of accommodation services in the City of Québec, Quebec, from the beginning of May to the end of August 2024. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on April 29, 2024, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.

Newland alleges that PWGSC wrongly awarded the contract to a bidder that did not comply with a mandatory requirement of the solicitation.
