NOTICE OF INQUIRY

Marine construction services

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint from Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD) of New Westminster, British Columbia, concerning a procurement (solicitation WS4399659650) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The solicitation was for Phase II of the Okeover small craft harbour wharf reconstruction. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on July 12, 2024, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.

FRPD alleges irregularities in the procurement process and raises allegations of unfair advantage, lack of transparency and conflict of interest.
